The Butterfly Oasis Project is a ceramic and painted mural created to raise awareness about the imminent extinction of the monarch butterfly. Individuals, families, and organizations from the community gathered to make ceramic planters; these are installed in a butterfly mural. Live milkweed plants were placed in the planters to lure butterflies to lay larvae.
